PLAYER KIT DESIGN INSPIRATION
LA MARINERE
The France FC player kit takes inspiration from the iconic France marinière kits worn by the FFF in the mid-2000s, blending that era’s clean aesthetic with traditional French sailor uniforms known for their horizontal blue striping. This heritage reference anchors the design in French identity while allowing the kit to feel timeless rather than retro.
Valla introduced modern performance-driven details to elevate the design for the grassroots game, including red French flag cuffs on both the shirt and shorts to subtly reinforce national colours. White-out panels on the front were intentionally created to allow sponsor logos to stand out cleanly, while a contrasting white-out back panel ensures the red numbers remain bold, legible, and visually striking against the kit’s base colour.
GOALKEEPER KIT INSPIRATION
LA BASILIQUE
The France FC goalkeeper kit was designed to stand apart from the player kit while remaining firmly rooted in French identity. Finished in red — one of France’s three national colours — the kit creates a bold visual contrast against the clean white player kit, ensuring the goalkeeper remains instantly recognizable on the pitch.
As goalkeeper kits traditionally allow for more expressive design, Valla leaned into storytelling by incorporating a white traced outline of Lyon’s Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière, a landmark closely tied to the club’s original goalkeeper. This subtle architectural detail adds depth and personal meaning to the kit, blending regional heritage with modern performance design for a goalkeeper jersey that is both striking and symbolic.
